Mahindra Gusto India Launch Confirmed For 29th September, 2014
Mahindra had earlier announced it had been working on an all new scooter platform for global markets. The scooter has been spied over several times in various camouflages in India. Back then the Indian automobile giant had not named their scooter, they had codenamed it G101.
The Indian manufacturer has provided us with the name and launch date of their global sooter. Mahindra Two Wheelers has christened their new scooter as the ‘Gusto', which means it is fast like a gust of wind.
Mahindra has decided to launch its Gusto scooter in India on the 29th of September, 2014. The Indian automobile giant has recently launched its next generation Scorpio SUV in India. They are following it immediately with their scooter launch.
Gusto is expected to go on sale in India from 29th September, 2014. It will be also sold in South Asia, Latin America and Africa in the upcoming months. The scooter has been designed in Italy and is expected to be packed with exciting new features on a scooter.
Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive - Farm Equipment and Two Wheeler Division and Member of the Group Executive Board explained, "We are set to introduce our new global scooter, the Gusto, created at our state-of-the-art R&D facility in Pune. The name Gusto is a derivative of 'gust' which connotes a sudden strong current of wind, symbolizing the spirit of freedom."
He further added, "Gusto comes with an all Aluminium M-TEC engine with advanced features such as a stronger crankshaft and bearings, high inertia magneto, high energy HT coil and series regulator to deliver superior power, efficiency and reliability."
