Honda India Achieves 20 Million Customers With Scooters & Motorcycles
India's largest manufacturer and seller of scooter and motorcycle achieve another milestone. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has confirmed that it has sold over 20 million two-wheelers in the country.
The two most successful products by the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer is their Activa scooter and the CB Shine motorcycle. Both products are segment leader in their respective categories. Introduction of updates regularly and superior build quality has cemented their dominance.
Keita Muramatsu, President and CEO, expressed, "We are deeply humbled by the faith and test reposed in the brand by our 20 million happy customers and we will strive to achieve even higher benchmarks in customer satisfaction. The Japanese manufacturer will strive at providing its two-wheelers to customers faster. For this they will be introducing an all-new facility in Vithalapur, Ahmedabad. Honda's new facility will be spread across 80 acres and will have an annual capacity of 5.8 million two-wheeler per year.
For 2015, the Japanese manufacturer has a long list of motorcycles and scooters scheduled to launch in India. One of the highly anticipated motorcycles is their sports-tourer the CBR650F. Honda also plans on introducing an all-new scooter, which will target the younger buyers in India.
