Hero MotoCorp HX250R Global Launch By Mid-2015
Indian two-wheeler giant Hero MotoCorp has planned to launch several motorcycles and scooter in India during 2015. Their highly anticipated HX250R is expected to launch by mid-2015.
Hero MotoCorp will develop its fully-faired, quarter-litre motorcycle with Erik Buell Racing. The motorcycle is expected to have several unique bells and whistles to make it standout from its competitors.
The motorcycle will be powered by a 249cc, single cylinder liquid-cooled engine. It is expected to churn out 31 bhp and 26 Nm of torque, engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The HX250R will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels and will have ABS as optional safety equipment. They will also offer adjustable rear mono shock and LED lights for the front and rear.
Competition in the 250cc segment is fierce and segment leader currently is Honda's CBR 250R. Also on offer will be the Yamaha R25 and Bajaj's Pulsar RS 200, which will launch soon.
Hero MotoCorp will also compete with the likes of the KTM RC 200 and DSK-Benelli's future product TNT 25. This segment has exploded tremendously around the world and several bikes have entered this space.
The HX250R was first showcased at 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi. Since then, the motorcycle has grabbed attention of motorcycling enthusiasts. It is among the highly anticipated bikes in India by an Indian manufacturer.
