Hero MotoCorp Sales Report For FY2013-14 Shows Record Sales
Hero MotoCorp is India's largest two wheeler manufacturer for a good reason. The motorcycle giant that has continued to set sales record in the past few months has pulled off a big one this time.
During a time when the automotive industry in India is on a downward spiral Hero MotoCorp has not just managed to maintain a good number, but has actually achieved its highest ever annual sales number.

Hero MotoCorp sold 62,45,895 two-wheelers between April 1, 2013-March 31, 2014. That's three percent more than the units sold during the previous financial year. The company had sold 60,75,583 during the April 1, 2012 - March 2013 period.

Hero's March 2014 unit sales was 5,24,028 two-wheelers, which is a growth of 11.9 percent over the corresponding month in 2013 when the company had sold 468,283 units.

Last month saw Hero MotoCorp launch its first new product of the year, the Splendor iSmart with ‘i3S Technology' that stands for Idle Stop and Start System. The other launches from Hero this year have been of the new HF Deluxe Eco commuter motorcycle and the refreshed Pleasure automatic scooter. Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Anil Dua, Sr. Vice-President (Marketing & Sales), Hero MotoCorp said, "Our strong sales performance in FY'14 is reflective of our new strategic approach that focuses on bringing revolutionary and game-changing technologies. Our retail growth at seven per cent during FY'14 reiterates the confidence and trust that customers have in our products. This kind of retail growth has significantly given us the necessary momentum for the new financial year."
"FY'15 will be loaded with a slew of new launches, including many of the new products that we showcased at the recently concluded Auto Expo. These launches will be backed by strong marketing campaigns and continued market expansion. We are gearing up for increased market demand for our products with the commissioning of the Neemrana plant in this financial year."
