Ducati Monster 821 Revealed
Following its trend of launching mid-range models built using shared components & some common cost cutting measures, the Bologna based performance bike maker Ducati has announced the Monster 821.
The Monster 821 gives cash strapped Ducati lovers and beginners the ability to own a less expensive and slightly less powerful Monster, but a monster nonetheless.
Powered by the company's 821cc Testastretta 11°, 112 horsepower, 89.34 Nm torque engine, the Monster 821 is only 18 hp less powerful than its larger sibling, the Monster 1200. At the same time, the Monster 821, at 179.5 kg, is also 2.26 kg lighter than the larger Monster.
Changes come in the form of a double-sided swing arm and a differently styled exhaust outlet.
A smaller engine by no means, means the Monster 821 has to compromise of safety features and it offers eight-way adjustable traction control system, a three-level anti-locking braking system, and a three-level RbW riding mode system.
Ducati Monster 821 will be offered in Ducati Red with red frame and black wheels and White with red frame and matte red wheels, along with an optional all-black ‘Dark' colour.
Expected to be launched in the U.S by July, Ducati is yet to reveal the price.
