I recently had the privilege of being invited by Mayur Chandrashekhar, Owner of CVS Motors, to be a part of a special anniversary ride. CVS Motors is an authorised Royal Enfield showroom located in Sankey road, Bangalore.

Honestly, I wasn't too sure what to expect as I arrived at the CVS Motors showroom at 5.30 a.m. I noticed a troop of Royal Enfield bikers all geared up and seemingly ready to rumble. After a quick round of introductions, I learnt that a good number of these Royal Enfield owners purchased their motorcycles from CVS Motors. The rest were part of Thumpers United -- an exclusive Royal Enfield club based out of Bangalore.

After acquainting myself with the troop, we were soon thumping away toward the seven-hills, which would have us visit the famous Tirumala Venkateswara Vedic temple in the hill town of Tirumala, near Tirupati in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.

What's a good way to gather up passionate Royal Enfield enthusiasts at the same place and at the same time? Believe it or not, with the promise of a good time and blessings from above, a short ride to Tirupati on an RE managed to do just that!

While most Royal Enfield authorised showroom owners busy themselves by combating the endless bookings of everyone's new "dream bike", Mayur Chandrashekar chose to beat the heat a different way. Mayur prefers to rope in customers and other RE enthusiasts for pulsating short rides instead. Captured in this image is the passionate Royal Enfield biker and showroom owner astride his Royal Enfield Classic 500cc.

If you stop by CVS Motors, do ask for Mayur. Despite the sweltering heat, we enjoyed riding with Mayur, who appears to be cool as a cucumber (we don't know how he does it!).
