Bajaj Bags Order For 1.25 Lakh Discover Motorcycles From Sri Lanka
Bajaj Auto has received an order for 1.25 lakh motorcycles from the Sri Lankan government. The order was for 1.25 lakh units of the Bajaj Discover 125-M model.
Bajaj, through its distributor in Sri Lanka, called David Pieris Motor Company, has received an order for 50,000 units of the Bajaj Discover 125-M motorcycle.
The government of Sri Lanka, has approved this order after a detailed evaluation.
Bajaj has already supplied 48,000 units of the Bajaj Discover 125-M motorcycles of the order till date. The remaining motorcycles will be delivered in another 3 to 4 months.
Bajaj, in a filing to the BSE said, "The company has now secured a repeat order from them through the company's distributor in Sri Lanka for the supply of 1.25 lakh units of Discover-125M, which the company expects to execute in next 3-4 months."
The Bajaj Discover 125-M is available in two variants, one with a disc brake, which costs INR 50,530, and the other, a drum brake version, which costs INR 48,532 (both prices ex-showroom Delhi).
