Spy Pics: Yamaha Fazer 250 Spotted — Launch Imminent?
Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha is all set to launch its new faired motorcycle, the Fazer 250.
Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha is gearing up for the launch of its new motorcycle, the Fazer 250. Ahead of that the motorcycle was spotted with the grey paint scheme.
Although the Fazer 250 is not camouflaged, the motorcycle has no graphics or branding. There is no official word from Yamaha about the development of the new Fazer 250.
Taking a closer look at the spy image, the new Fazer will feature a single LED headlamp setup instead of the dual headlights in the previous model. So, except for the fairing, the motorcycle will borrow the design cues from the FZ25.

The Fazer 250 also features the same instrument cluster and handlebar as the FZ 250. The rear end of the motorcycle including the exhaust is identical to its naked sibling.
On the technical front, the Fazer 250 is likely to draw power from the existing 249cc fuel injected, single cylinder engine producing 20.9bhp and 20Nm of peak torque. The engine will be coupled to a 5-speed gearbox.
Unlike the previous model, the new Fazer 250 gets full fairing which will improve the aerodynamics of the motorcycle. On the other hand, the fairing will also result in additional weight compared to the FZ 25.
Yamaha is expected to offer ABS at least as an option on the new Fazer 250. The motorcycle is likely to be launched during this year's festive season. The Fazer 250 will rival the likes of Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, Honda CBR 250R and KTM RC 200.
