Own A White KTM 390 Duke? Did You Know You Own It By Mistake?
The white KTM 390 Dukes were a mistake by the company and were not meant to be sold in India. Here’s more
As per reports by Rush Lane, customers who own the white KTM 390 Duke in India are lucky. This is because the company goofed up and it is not a limited edition model.
There were reports earlier stating that KTM would launch a limited edition KTM 390 Duke in white. The fact is that the white motorcycles were for the export market. A minor mix-up at the plant resulted in the white KTM Dukes landing at dealerships.
As a result, a few customers are lucky enough to own the white Dukes in the country. Bummer! The reason why KTM wanted to sell the 390 Duke in India in an orange shade only could be to differentiate the motorcycle from the rest of the Duke line-up.
The KTM 390 Duke received a major upgrade recently to comply with BS-IV norms. The engine is the same as the previous model - a 373cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 44bhp and 37Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle now comes with ride-by-wire throttle technology.
On the design front, the KTM 390 Duke has undergone significant changes such as a side mounted exhaust, redesigned fuel tank and headlights, updated meter console, new rear subframe, and suspension to name a few.
The new KTM 390 Duke was launched for a price of Rs 2.25 lakh, along with the updated KTM 200 Duke and the all-new KTM 250 Duke.
