Indian two-wheeler manufacturer tvs motor Company registered a growth of 11 percent in June 2017.
Indian two-wheeler manufacturer tvs motor Company registered a growth of 11 percent in June 2017. The company sold 2,73,791 units as opposed to the 2,47,364 units in June 2016.
In the two-wheeler segment, TVS recorded a growth of 11.8 percent by retailing 268,638 units in June 2017, whereas the company sold 2,40,236 units in June 2016. The domestic sales grew by 10.4 percent.
In the scooter class, the company sold 90,448 units and registered a growth of 33.8 percent. In the motorcycle segment, TVS grew by 17.4 percent, with 1,12,146 units sold in June 2017. The company's total exports increased by 13.3 percent, and the two-wheeler exports registered 20.8 percent growth.
TVS sold 5,153 three-wheelers in June 2017 as opposed to the 7,128 units in June 2016. In the first quarter of the current financial year, two-wheeler sales grew by 12 percent with 7.85 lakh units sold. The three-wheeler sales remain at the same level as previous year.

Due to the implementation of the GOOds and Services Tax (GST), several automakers recorded a negative growth in June 2017. But TVS managed to attract the buyers despite GST effect. Especially the two-wheeler segment witnessed a healthy growth.
