TVS Motor Company Records Decline In Sales In December 2016
TVS Motor Company recorded decline in sales in the month of December 2016 compared to the same period of 2015.
Indian two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company witnessed a decline in sales in the month of December 2016.
The company recorded a sales figures of 1,84,901 units in the month of December 2016, compared to the 2,02,021 units sold in the month of December 2015.
TVS managed to sell 1,79,508 units of two-wheelers in December 2016, whereas in December 2015 the company sold 194,001 units. In which the domestic sales accounted for 153,413 units.
In two-wheelers segment, 55,536 units of scooters were sold and 58,189 units of motorcycle were sold in the month of December 2016, which is a decline in sales compared to the same period of 2015.
The three-wheeler division of the TVS Motor Company managed to sell 5,393 units in the month of December 2016 compared to the 8,020 units of December 2015.
The company's exports also witnessed negative growth with 30,694 units compared to the 32,706 units in December 2015. But the company's two-wheeler exports were improved compared to the same period of 2015.
Although, the company's two wheeler sales grew by 3.9 percent in the third quarter of the current financial year. TVS sold 7.02 lakh units in the current financial year compared to the 6.76 lakh units in the third quarter of 2015.
