Production-Spec TVS Akula Spotted — Here’s What’s In Store
A TVS Akula 310 has been spied testing on a dyno without any camouflage, revealing some of the motorcycle’s features.
A production-spec TVS Akula 310 has been spotted testing on a dyno by Xbhp, hinting that the motorcycle will be launched soon.
The TVS Akula was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo as a concept and ever since, has had fans on the edge of their seats with excitement. The motorcycle was even spotted testing by DriveSpark, as early as July 2016.
Ever since, the Akula 310 was seen multiple times, and the latest images show the motorcycle without any camouflage, revealing some of the features one could expect when the TVS Akula is launched in India.
To start with, the Akula is seen with USD front forks and disc brakes at both ends, with ABS. The front headlights too, look like LED units, with daytime running lights. The pictures also reveal the tail lamp design.
The handlebar position hints at a rather relaxed stance for the rider, instead of an aggressive setup like the one on the KTM RC 390. This will help the TVS Akula be a more city-friendly motorcycle than an aggressive track tool.
Regarding engine specs, the TVS Akula will be powered by the same engine that does its duty on the upcoming BMW G310 R, a 313cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 34bhp and 28Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
