TVS is all set to launch its fully faired sports motorcycle, the Akula 310 and the two-wheeler manufacturer is testing the motorcycle on the Indian roads.
This time the Akula 310 was spotted testing on the roads of Bengaluru and the images reveal the close-up shots of the production ready fully faired sports motorcycle.
The Akula 310 was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi, and the production version of the motorcycle retains most of the features from the concept motorcycle.
The Akula 310 sports upside down front forks, mono shock suspension on the rear and a fully digital instrument cluster. The race exhaust showcased in the concept has been replaced by the production exhaust and the motorcycle also gets registration plate holder.
The motorcycle draws power from the 313cc single cylinder, water cooled engine developed by BMW Motorrad. The same engine is also deployed in the BMW G310 R. The engine pumps out 34bhp and 28Nm of torque.
The engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. As per the estimates, the Akula 310 will deliver a mileage of 36kmpl. The motorcycle will be manufactured at TVS's Hosur manufacturing plant.
The TVS Akula is expected to be launched by March 2017 in India and the motorcycle might be priced around Rs 2 lakh.
