Tork Motorcycles To Offer Service At Your Doorstep
Electric motorcycle startup firm, Tork Motorcycles has stated that it will provide after sales service at the customer's doorstep.
Pune-based electric motorcycle startup firm, Tork Motorcycle is readying itself for its first launch later this year. Ahead of that the company has stated that it will provide after-sales service at the customer's doorstep.
Normally people are reluctant to buy electric vehicles as the regular workshops do not offer proper service, but with this move from Tork Motorcycles, it is expected to boost the sales of the electric motorcycle.
Founder and CEO of Tork Motorcyles, Kapil Shelke said, "What we are working on is going to buyers' homes to service vehicles which have less wear and tear. It is like Dell. People can call in with their problems and we will replace or repair that part of the vehicle at their homes."
Tork Motorcycles unveiled its first product, the T6X, in Bengaluru in September 2016. The company has received pre-bookings more than 10 times the numbers originally anticipated.
Tork is now working to bump up the production to cater the demand. The motorcycle is still in the beta testing phase and minor improvements are being done. The company is also in talks with Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).
The Tork T6X motorcycle has a range of 100km on a single full charge. Shelke stated that the motorcycle can cover a distance of 75km at an operational cost of Rs 75. Tork T6X will be launched with a price tag of Rs 1.25 lakh.
