Italian motorcycle brand SWM Motorcycle is set to enter India in partnership with Motoroyale and is bringing along three models, focused on segments that have not been penetrated, yet, or the ones with opportunities — Supermoto, Adventure, and Off-Road.
SWM SM 650R
The SWM SM 650R is a supermoto motorcycle, which is a 2010 Husqvarna TE630. The motorcycle comes with 17-inch spoked wheels on both ends wrapped in road tyres. The motorcycle features adjustable inverted forks and Brembo brakes at both ends.
Powering the SWM SM 650R is a 600cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled four-stroke engine that makes 53bhp. The engine is fuel injected and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
SWM SuperDual T
The next motorcycle on the list is the SuperDual T, an adventure focused motorcycle based on the Husqvarna TE630. The SuperDual T uses the same engine as the SM 650R but is tuned to deliver 56bhp with the help of a 6-speed gearbox.
The SWM SuperDual T features an 18-litre fuel tank, adjustable front (inverted) and rear suspension, and Brembo brakes with standard ABS. There is also an optional GT kit that includes panniers and brackets to mount auxiliary lights.
Also, the SuperDual T comes with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels (spoked) with 180mm ground clearance. The wheels are wrapped in Metzeler Tourance tyres, and the motorcycle should have decent off-road capabilities.
SWM SuperDual X
The third motorcycle is the SuperDual X, which is an off-road focused version of the SuperDual T. Engine is the same as the SuperDual T, but the gearing is revised for its purpose. The SuperDual X features a similar setup to the T but gets 21-inch front, and 18-inch rear wheels wrapped in Metzeler Tourance Sahara tyres, which are more off-road focused.
