2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000 And GSX-R1000R Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs 19 Lakh

Suzuki GSX-R1000 And GSX-R1000R launched In India. The new Suzuki GSX-R 1000 is priced at Rs 19 lakh while the GSX-R1000R retails for Rs 22 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
Powering the new Suzuki GSX-R1000 And GSX-R1000R in India is a 999.8cc, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder engine with dual overhead camshafts.
The fuel-injected engine produces 199bhp and 118.9Nm of torque which is sent to the rear wheel through a 6-speed gearbox.
Regarding design, the new GSX-R1000 and the R1000R feature a new design first seen on the concept bike unveiled at the 2015 EICMA show in Milan. The new GSX-R twins feature an aggressive and more aero-focused design and are the lightest and fastest GSX-R's ever made.
The GSX-R1000 features upside down Showa BPF inverted telescopic forks up front and a Showa mono shock at the rear. The GSX-R1000R sports Showa BFF inverted telescopic forks up front and a Showa BFF-lite shock at the rear.
The new GSX-Rs use 320mm Brembo disc brakes up front with four piston callipers and a single Nissin 220mm disc brake with a single piston calliper at the rear.The GSX-R1000 twins sport 6-spoke aluminium rims that are shod with RS10 Bridgestone tires: 120/70 ZR-17 (front) and 190/55 ZR-17 (rear).
The new GSX-R1000 comes a 6 direction IMU along with a 10 level Motion Track TCS System, Motion Track Braking System and ABS. Also present are LED Headlights, Taillights and full LCD instrumentation.
The GSX-R1000R adds Launch Control, Bi-directional Quick Shifter, Showa Balance Free Suspension, Lean ABS and LED Position Lights.
The new GSX-R1000 is available in two different colours: Metallic Triton Blue and Metallic Matte Black while the GSX-R1000R comes in Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Black.
