Spy Pics: Next-Generation TVS Apache RTR 160 Spotted Testing
TVS is testing the new-gen Apache RTR 160 and has been spotted with new design.
The 160cc motorcycle segment is becoming extremely popular in India. Several manufacturers are launching their products to tap into the trend of performance motorcycling.
Now, TVS is also jumping into the scene with a new model. Yes, the next-gen Apache RTR 160 has been spotted testing by a Youtube channel.
The new RTR 160 borrows its design cues from its elder sibling, the Apache 200 4V. The new-gen Apache RTR 160 gets mono shock suspension, LED tail lamps and digital instrument cluster.
Unlike the Apache 200, the RTR 160 gets only single disc brake up front and drum at the rear. A single piece seat has replaced the split seats. The side panel is finished with silver which distinguishes it from its 200cc sibling.
The new Apache RTR 160 might come with a slight bump in the power output to compete against its new rivals. TVS is likely to launch the new-gen 160cc motorcycle by this year end or early 2018.
DriveSpark Thinks!
The new-gen Apache RTR 160 looks modern as opposed to the currently sold model. When launched, the new RTR 160 will rival the likes of Honda CB Hornet, Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ-S and newly launched Bajaj Pulsar NS160.
