Royal Enfield Announces The 14th Edition Of The Himalayan Odyssey
Royal Enfield has announced the 2017 edition of the Himalayan Odyssey; bikers will cross a distance of 2,210km from Delhi to Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir.
Time to gear up and set for the ride from Delhi to Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. Royal Enfield has announced the 2017 edition of the Himalayan Odyssey.
Bikers will cross a distance of 2,210km, and the road trip will be held from July 6 to July 23, 2017. The 2017 Himalayan Odyssey is the 14th edition where motorcycle enthusiasts get to ride at Khardung-La pass - the highest motorable road in the world at 18,300 feet above sea level.
The 2017 edition will see 50 male and 20 female bikers under a separate Himalayan Odyssey - Women. Both the riders will be flagged off on July 8, 2017, from India Gate in New Delhi; they will ride on different routes before finally meeting at Leh.
The journey will pass through Narkanda, Sarchu, Jispa, Leh, and all the way to Khardung-La all the while experiencing the extraordinary weather shift, from burning heat to icy cold.
Rudratej Singh, President, Royal Enfield said, "Every year, scores of Royal Enfield riders ride their way up to the Himalayas, a terrain that we consider as our spiritual home. It is a pilgrimage where riders can leave behind their urban monotony and appreciate real and authentic experiences and become one with their machine and the terrain while riding."
He added, "The participants will realise that the Himalayan Odyssey is not a just a bucket list ride that they have completed, but it's just the beginning of the explorer inside them."
