Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield has launched its entire updated lineup. The motorcycles from the marque now are equipped with BSIV compliant engines and AHO (Automatic Headlamp On).
According to a report by Financial Express, the manufacturer has not officially confirmed about the update of its entire model range. The new Electra 350 was recently spotted at a dealership, and it is said that the sales of the same have already started.
Only the Electra 350 is available at the dealership right now, and deliveries for other models with the updated features is expected to commence in a week. Royal Enfield also has increased the prices of the entire lineup due to the inclusion of the new features.
Powering the Electra 350 is a 346cc twin spark single cylinder engine that develops 19.8bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. The powerplant is mated to five-speed manual transmission, and it is now BSIV compliant.
The stopping power comes from a 280mm disc squeezed by dual-piston caliper at the front and 153mm drum at the rear. The suspension duties are carried out by telescopic forks up front and twin gas charged shock absorbers out back.
On the safety side, the new Electra 350 features AHO, which ensures the headlamp remains on all the time. This update is to comply with new government regulations. The motorcycle tips the scales at 187kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres.
In terms of dimension, the motorcycle measures 2,140mm in length, 810 in width, 1,120mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1,370mm. The Electra 350 is equipped with an analog speedometer and fuel gauge.
