2017 Moto Morini Corsaro 1200 ZZ Revealed
The 2017 Moto Morini Corsaro 1200 ZZ receives ABS, Slipper Clutch, quick shifter and an engine management system. Also, the trellis is all new, and the bike gets a fully adjustable suspension package
Small-volume Italian brand Moto Morini has opted to design something completely new with the 2017 Corsaro 1200 ZZ. Instead of tweaking their non-compliant engines and extend the life of the product to comply with the Euro4 emission norms, the bike maker has redesigned the entire motorcycle.
Moto Morini said they did keep one thing, though: "The indomitable, furious and fearless soul of the bike." Updates to the new bike include switchable ABS, electronic gears and a new engine management system.
The company says the appearance has remained committed to the Corsaro, but the 2017 model's character has been overhauled completely, making the bike sporty and precise, along with all the safety equipment compatible with modern motorcycles.
The Moto Morini Corsaro 1200 ZZ is powered by a 1200cc, v-twin that churns out 137bhp and 125Nm of torque. The company has redesigned the mill to go with the new Zard exhaust system, serving with both Euro IV emissions and noise as well as improved fuel efficiency.
The new bike receives a new quick shifter and slipper clutch along with switchable Bosch dual-channel ABS. Additionally, Moto Morini has included a new trellis frame, LED headlights and indicators, and a fully adjustable suspension package from Mupo Race Suspension.
The front fork setup lets rebound damping and preload settings which allow 135mm of wheel travel. The compression, rebound damping, length and remote hydraulic preload of the rear shock can be controlled as well.
The braking duties are carried out by Brembo monoblock four-piston, radial-mounted callipers with double 320mm floating discs for the front, while the rear braking system uses a specifically designed two piston calliper with 220mm disc brakes.
The aluminium forged rims are shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres provide maximum grip even during braking.
Every motorcycle will be made to order by the Moto Morini factory in Italy and will be custom built to specifications, including some new paint choices like brushed metal and wood grain finishes. Moto Morini has not revealed the prices for the motorcycle.
