Moto Guzzi Recalls Five Models Over Brake Liner Issue
Piaggio Groups Americas has recalled five Moto Guzzi models over brake hose issue on their anti-lock braking system.
Piaggio Groups Americas has recalled five Moto Guzzi models over brake hose issue on their anti-lock braking system.
As per a document filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the problem starts with the brake liner touching the engine's air system connect. This problem can result in brake fluid leak.
The recall has affected 1,139 units manufactured between 2016-17. The affected motorcycles are - Moto Guzzi V7 III Racer 750, Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone 750, Moto Guzzi V7 III Special 750, Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber, and Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer.
Piaggio will intimate the affected owners and Moto Guzzi dealers will rectify the issue. They will secure the front ABS brake hose to avoid contact with the air system. If the brake hose is damaged, it will be replaced free of cost.
