Merzouga Rally 2017: Hero MotoSports And Sherco TVS Stage 4 Updates
The stage 4 of the Merzouga Rally has concluded and Sherco TVS rider Juan Pedrero is in fourth position in overall standings. Indian rider CS Santosh is in 15th place in the overall leaderboard.
The fourth stage of the Merzouga Rally 2017 saw riders tackle the first day of the marathon stage. The riders had to cover 273km of timed distance which was later reduced by 80km.
After a difficult stage 3, both Hero MotoSports Team Rally riders started the marathon stage well with great intent and focus to gain back the positions they had lost in the sandstorm of yesterday.
Indian rider CS Santosh had a good run in the fourth stage. He maintained a steady pace to finish the stage in the 20th position. He retained his 15th position in the overall rankings.
Santosh's teammate Joaquim Rodrigues rode with great temperament and purpose to finish the stage in 9th place. With this result, he has moved up the leaderboard to 12th position in the overall standings.
Team manager, Hero MotoSports Team Rally, Wolfgang Fischer said, "Following yesterday's difficult stage, we are happy to finish the first part of the marathon stage with both the riders arriving safely in the marathon bivouac."
Sherco TVS rider Aravind KP was the best Indian performer in stage four. He completed the gruelling test in an impressive 16th position. He also regained 25th position on the overall leaderboard.
Leading the charge for Sherco TVS is Juan Pedrero. He regained the fourth place in the overall rankings. TVS rider, Abdul Wahid struggled in the fourth stage. He dropped to 30th position after completing the stage with 39th fastest time.
