This Stripped Down KTM 390 Duke Is A Perfect Enduro Motorcycle
The KTM 390 Duke has been modified as a enduro motorcycle by stripoing all the body panels and upgrading the stock suspension with the off-road spec unit.
Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM is working on the new 390 Adventure or Enduro motorcycle. It may take another year or so before the motorcycle is launched in the market. If you can't wait that long then check out this modified 390 Duke.
The impatient folks at MotoExotica India stripped down the KTM 390 Duke to modify the motorcycle as an enduro machine which looks flawless in terms of design.
The custom made enduro motorcycle loses all stock body panels, it features custom made fuel tank, carbon fibre, front fender, rear fender and lightweight headlight mask.
The fuel tank of the enduro motorcycle is divided into two parts which can hold 13 litres of fuel. The range can be extended by installing an auxiliary fuel tank. The motorcycle also sports projector headlights, knuckle guard and single-piece saddle.
The stock suspension has been replaced by off-road units which give it a suspension travel of 12-inch and 15-inch at front and rear respectively. The stock swing arm is also replaced by a box section unit.
The stock alloy wheels have been replaced by wire-spoked wheels for better off-roading capabilities. The wheels are wrapped with off-road spec tyres. The enduro motorcycle gets up-swept canister exhaust and tall ground clearance to ride over rough terrain.
Although there are no changes made to the mechanical components of the motorcycle. But the enduro 390 sheds a lot of weight and the customised motorcycle weighs just 125kg(dry). With the improved power to weight ratio, there should be an improvement in performance.
This particular model is not for sale as of now. But you can customise your stock KTM 390 Duke to a mean looking enduro motorcycle, this modification will cost you Rs 3 lakh.
