2017 KTM 390 Duke And 200 Duke India Launch On February 23
The 2017 version of 390 Duke also gets new front forks, big 320mm front brake, larger tank, slipper-clutch and ride-by-wire throttle body.
Austrian manufacturer KTM introduced the 2017 390 Duke and 200 Duke at the EICMA show in November 2016. Emerging reports on the internet indicate that KTM is ready to launch the new 390 Duke and 200 Duke on February 23, 2017.
KTM entered the Indian two-wheeler market back in 2012 by introducing the naked street fighter, the 200 Duke. The motorcycle became so popular among youths because it offered fun riding experience and raw performance.
A year later in 2013, KTM launched the mighty 390 Duke, which is considered by many as an affordable piece of equipment that has class-leading horsepower and dual channel ABS.
The 2017 390 Duke will feature a number updates including a new LED headlamp, a TFT instrument console with a hands-free kit and audio player, and new aggressive bodyworks. Both the models will sport new liveries which makes them more appealing.
The 2017 version of 390 Duke also gets new front forks, big 320mm front brake, larger tank, slipper-clutch and ride-by-wire throttle body. The motorcycle uses the same 373cc mill which does the duty in the outgoing model, but, it is now tuned to meet the BSIV regulations thanks to a new catalytic converter and exhaust pipe.
The 373cc liquid-cooled motor on the new 390 Duke produces 44bhp of power and 35Nm of torque and comes mated with a six-speed transmission. The 2017 200 Duke is powered by a 200cc liquid-cooled engine that cranks out 25bhp of power and 19.2Nm of torque.
As we reported earlier, select KTM dealerships have already started accepting bookings for the 2017 models for a token amount of Rs 20,000. Deliveries of the 2017 390 Duke and 200 Duke are expected to commence by the end of this month.
