Kinetic Might Launch SWM Bikes In India — What's Your First Impression Of These Bikes?
kinetic might launch SWM motorcycles in India under the Motoroyale chain.
Kinetic has taken over a huge leap from manufacturing Honda scooters and mopeds to become one of the respectable components manufacturers. The two-wheeler company also got in the business of the high-performance bike retailing chain in India called - Motoroyale.
Motoroyale currently assembles and sells the fabulous MV Augusta bikes in India. Now, Kinetic is planning to expand their portfolio by adding another Italian classic name - SWM Motors - to the Motoroyale chain.
Kinetic, quite a number of times, has officially said that they would like the Motoroyale chain to be a multi-brand motorcycle stigma in the Indian market.
Now, coming back to the SWM motorcycles, it was founded in 1971 by Piero Sironi and Fausto Vergani. The company manufactured observed Trials, enduro, motocross and off-road motorcycles back in the 1970 and 1980s.
SWM motorcycles announced their return at the 2014 EICMA. Reportedly, SWM will be gaining back on the market by introducing six street and off-road bikes. At the motor show, they showcased six street and off-road bikes with engine capacities ranging from 300cc to 650cc.
Kinetic is planning to bring the Gran Milano and Silver Vase models to the Indian shores. Both these bikes are classified under ‘Classics' by SWM and Gran Milano. Powering the cafe racer version is a single-cylinder 445.3cc air plus oil cooled engine. Power output is extimated to be around 29.54 bhp.
Overall, around 13,000 superbikes were sold in India throught Motoroyale in 2015. It is expected to touch the 20,000 bikes by 2020, which is still a very small portion when you compare it to 14 million bikes being sold per year in our country.
