2017 Kawasaki Z250 Facelift India Launch Date Revealed
The overall design will remain the same except for minor changes; the 2017 Kawasaki Z250 is expected to be equipped with ABS and to be available in new colours when launched on April 22, 2017.
Kawasaki is all set to launch the 2017 edition of the Z250 in India on April 22, 2017. The Z250 facelift is expected to be offered with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
With the launch date confirmed by CarandBike, the overall design will remain the same except for minor changes and will be available in new colours. Mechanically, the 2017 Kawasaki Z250 will continue to be the same as the previous model.
Powering the 2017 Kawasaki Z250 is a liquid cooled, 249cc parallel-twin engine capable of churning out 32bhp and 21Nm of peak torque. The unit will come paired to a 6-speed gearbox on the least expensive bike from Kawasaki.
The new Z250 will retain its styling cues and the overall design language of its bigger siblings - the Z900 and the Z1000.
Upon its launch in India, the 2017 Kawasaki Z250 will compete with the likes of KTM 250 Duke, Honda CBR 250 R and the Benelli TNT 25.
The Z250 hasn't been a successful product from Kawasaki because of its higher pricing. The outgoing model is priced at Rs 3.11 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The updated model with ABS is expected to cost around Rs 3.2 - Rs 3.3 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
With the ABS on offer, Kawasaki will look to upstage the Z250's rivals; however, it remains to be seen if the Z250 manages to attract more buyers.
