Kawasaki Launches Limited Edition Ninja H2 Carbon Hyperbike
With only a limited production of 120 units, the carbon version is not your typical H2.
Japanese premium motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki has launched 2017 Ninja H2 hyperbike models. The new models feature a list of updates and if customers are looking for something that is a bit more exclusive can buy the new H2 carbon.
With only a limited production of 120 units, the carbon version is not your typical H2. The limited-edition model features a carbon fibre upper cowl that resembles the H2R, special paint job for mirrors and a serial number plate.
Bill Jenkins, Senior Vice President of Sales Operations, Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. said, "This limited edition Ninja H2 Carbon is going to create a lot of envy among riding enthusiasts. The Ninja H2 made a big splash in the industry when it was introduced, and I believe we will see a lot of activity when ordering begins on February 13."
The list of updates for the 2017 H2 models includes:
- Highly rigid, lightweight CFRP (carbon fibre reinforcement polymer) upper cowl (Carbon model)
- Silver-mirror paint featuring a matte element (Carbon model)
- Each of the 120 limited edition models are individually numbered and feature a serial number stamped into the supercharger plate (Carbon model)
- Bosch compact Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) allows for additional feedback and layer of precision for management control
- Multi-mode traction control
- Instrument features include bank angle display and max bank angle recording function
- Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Brake System (KIBS) corner braking control, with feedback from IMU, increases cornering capabilities
- Öhlins TTX fully adjustable, concentric twin tube design rear shock
- Remote preload adjuster simplifies adjustment without tools for rider preference
- Updated rear shock linkage ratios contribute to firmer, more stable feeling
- 330mm front discs with four-piston Brembo monobloc calipers
- Aerodynamic Brembo brake and clutch levers are shorter with rounded edges
- Upper cowl emblem adds racy and edgy look
- Contactless-type quick shifter that now allows for quicker shifts for seamless acceleration and quick and easy deceleration (downshifting capability new for 2017)
Orders for the H2 Carbon will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, subject to availability. Interest customers have to pay a booking amount of $10,000 to an authorised Kawasaki dealer within 48 hours of being notified by Kawasaki.
Kawasaki will be also donating a portion of the proceeds of the Ninja H2 Carbon motorcycles to charity along with $20,000 to the Road 2 Recovery Foundation.
