First Ever BMW Motorrad Dealership In India To Open On April 12
The first-ever BMW Motorrad dealership in India is set to open two days ahead of the brand's official launch in India.
The first-ever BMW Motorrad dealership in India is all set to open on April 12 in the nation's financial capital, Mumbai. The dealership will open two days ahead of the German motorcycle manufacturer's official launch in India.
The Mumbai dealership will be operated by Navnit Motors, which also operates a BMW car showroom in the city. The dealership's website shows a list of motorcycles that will go on sale when the showroom opens to customers in a week's time.
All the motorcycles listed on the website will be imported into India as Completely Built Units (CBUs). The motorcycles include the R Nine T, S 1000 R, R 1200 RT, R 1200 GS, and the R 1200 GS Adventure.
Missing from the list is BMW's smallest motorcycle, the G 310R which is being built at the TVS manufacturing plant in Hosur. BMW though still hasn't given any reason for the delay which has left many in the Indian motorcycle community scratching their heads.
TVS is also working on a motorcycle based on the G 310R. The bike which was revealed as the Akula 310 was revealed at the 2016 Auto Expo and is currently undergoing testing and is expected to launch later this year..
