Indian Motorcycle Riders Group Rides Out For The Girl Child
The second National Ride of Indian Motorcycle Riders Group (IMRC) was held to spread awareness for the education of a Girl child.
One of the oldest motorcycle American brand - Indian Motorcycle concluded the second National Ride of Indian Motorcycle Riders Group on 6 March 2017. The ride ended in Mahabaleshwar.
The group brought in "Wheels of Change" - am awareness for as many as 300 girl students. The riders generously donated educational items as they decided to give a humane face to their regular motorcycling stopover.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pankaj Dubey, Country Head & Managing Director, Polaris India, who also heads Indian Motorcycle in India said, "We got an overwhelming response to our first IMRG (Indian Motorcycle Riders Group) ride at Daman on October, 16. The second ride was organized at Mahabaleshwar from 3rd to 5th March, where riders came from all corners of the country."
He further added, "Our IMRG core committee decided to focus on a social cause and planned to recognize organisation involved in female children education and were touched to see the great work done in this field by Nachiketa School in Mahabaleshwar."
The main motive of the Indian riders were to spread the awareness on quality education for the girl child through this journey. They visited Panchgani, an educational Centre in Taighat which is one of the small villages of Panchgani (Talukar, Mahabaleshwar, District Satara).
Over there as many as 700 students (out of which 350 are girl students) stay and get free English medium education. The center is run by Laxman Parthe and Sudhir Parthe who have taken the complete responsibility to educate the children.
Mr. Dubey also stated, "The collective decision of Indian Motorcycle Riders Group to visit Panchgani to promote quality education for the Girl child has taken the IMRG ride to the next level. I look forward to suggestions from our Indian Motorcycle Riders Group to identify centers like these in other parts of the country so that we can replicate this initiative there as well."
Speaking a bit about the group, the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group consists of enthusiasts through ‘Owner Membership', which has its own benefits. So, what are you guys waiting for? Go and grab your favorite Indian for being a part of this amazing group.
