2018 Husqvarna Fuel-Injected Two-Stroke Enduro Motorcycles Revealed
Husqvarna reveals the TE 250i and the 300i fuel injected two-stroke motorcycles, with significant updates for 2018.
KTM revolutionised the two-stroke engine by fuel injecting them, and now, Husqvarna has unveiled its new range of fuel injected two-stroke motorcycles.
Husqvarna has unveiled the all new TE 250i and the TE 300i Enduro motorcycles, that use the latest fuel injection system.
The fuel injectors are placed next to the transfer ports and are designed to deliver an optimum mixture of air and fuel to the engine at all times. This offers a significant reduction in fuel consumption, making the motorcycles more efficient.
The fuel injection system also helps reduce carbon emission and provides smooth, clean power delivery. Since the air-fuel mixture is delivered to the cylinder through the transfer port, the combustion is much more efficient.
A tube placed at the rear of the cylinder relays pressure data to the ECU. Information from the throttle sensor, air pressure sensor, crankcase pressure, and the water temperature sensors are relayed to the ECU, eliminating carburettor jetting modification and compensating for altitude and temperature changes.
The two-stroke oil is stored in a separate reservoir, with its filler tube running through the chassis. An EMS oil pump delivers the right amount of oil, eliminating excess smoke and wastage.
Regarding equipment, the new range of Husqvarna motorcycles feature WP suspension, Magura front and rear brake systems, and lightweight ProTaper handlebars.
