Honda XRE 300 Adventure Bike Patented In India — Here Is All You Need To Know
Honda XRE 300 adventure bike is powered by a 292cc mill churning out 25bhp and 27.6Nm of torque; will lock horns with upcoming KTM Duke 390 Adventure and BMW G310 GS.
Honda is upbeat about its presence in India and has lined up four motorcycles in coming months. The Japanese automaker is targeting premium motorcycle segment evident with the recent commencement for bookings of the CBR 1000RR.
Following the CBR 1000RR, Honda will introduce the much touted Africa Twin adventure tourer. Also, there are reports that CB Hornet, its best-selling motorcycle, will be offered as a fully faired version - CB Hornet 160R.
The last among the recent plans of Honda is the entry-level adventure bike with the XRE 300. Recently, the Honda XRE 300 was spied at Honda's India plant.
Now, Honda has patented the XRE 300 in India and is expected to be launched by late 2017 as per Gaadiwaadi.

Honda XRE 300 Engine Specs:
Honda XRE 300 is powered by a 291.6cc single cylinder four-stroke, air-cooled engine. The motor can produce 25bhp and 27.6Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Honda XRE 300 Features:
The Honda XRE 300 is suspended on a telescopic front fork with 245mm travel, while the rear is a pro-link mono shock with 225mm of travel.
The Honda adventure bike is equipped with single 256mm front discs, while the rear is a 220mm. Both the discs are expected to be offered with optional ABS.
Honda XRE 300 weighs 153kg while clearing the ground at 259mm enabling the bike tackle some of the harshest terrains.
Honda XRE 300 India Launch & Price:
It is expected that Honda will launch the XRE 300 in India by October 2017. Prices will be in the range of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh ex-showroom.
