Honda Kicks-Off Round 5 Of The National Racing Championship
The final round of the Honda One Make Racing Championship is held this weekend at the Madras Motor Race Track, Chennai.
The season finale of the Honda One Make Championship 2016 is all set for an exciting race weekend. The round 5 will see participation from a total of 48 entries from Honda across categories including CBR 150 Novice, CBR 250 Open and Honda Ladies Race.
Honda's flagship CBR 250R Team Championship will see intense competition between 12 racers from 4 teams - Apex Racing, Honda Ten 10 Racing, Pro Lap Racing and Rock Star Racing.
The grid will showcase India's top rising racing talents including last round's top two finishers. Leading the pack is this season's maximum podium winner Mathana Kumar closely followed by young and determined Rajiv S paving his way to victory, among others.
The fourth round of the very successful Honda All Ladies race will see 9 female racers including last rounds top three finishers Aishwarya P from Bangalore, Ryhana and Shruthi from Chennai.
For the 2016 season, Honda has introduced new race-prepped versions of the CBR 250R and CBR 150R. Developed with technical know-how provided by Honda's Indian R&D team, both motorcycles are set to scorch the Madras Motor Race Track beginning this weekend.
Vice-President, Customer Service, HMSI, Prabhu Nagaraj said, "Honda has always been at the forefront of promoting motor racing and is an integral part of Honda's DNA. It has been our constant endeavour to encourage the sport in India by providing a platform for aspiring riders to realize their potential."
He added, "Not only nationally, but Honda is also giving international exposure to the talented riders by sponsoring them into Asia Dream Cup, where the best riders from 12 countries compete."
