No Monkey Business This — Honda Celebrates 50th Birthday Of A Very Iconic Bike
The Honda Monkey 50th Anniversary Edition gets a unique 3D emblem and Pearl Sunbeam White colour.
To commemorate the original Monkey bike, Honda has announced the Honda Monkey 50th Anniversary Edition. The limited edition model will sport a unique 3D emblem along with a new Pearl Sunbeam White colour option.
The Honda Monkey 50th Anniversary model has been launched in Japan. The bike is powered by a 49cc air cooled, fuel injected engine mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
The engine produces 3.35bhp of power and 3.4Nm of peak torque. The bike weighs 68kg and has a ground clearance of 145mm.
The Honda Monkey 50th Anniversary Edition's front and rear fenders are in Shasta White. The frame, front forks, swingarm, headlight case, and the stripe on the fuel tank are in Magna Red.
The seats of the Monkey bike from Honda adopts a ribbed seat cover in the same Magna Red. The Honda Monkey gets the 50th Anniversary emblem on the side cover, 50th Anniversary logo on the back of the seat as well as a 50th Anniversary mark on the main key.
The Honda Monkey measures 1365mm in length, 600mm in width and 850mm in height. The height of the seat is measured at 660m. Honda will manufacture a limited number of the 50th Anniversary Monkey bike restricted to 1,800 units.
Honda Japan has priced the 50th Anniversary Monkey Bike at JPY 352,080 (Rs 207,296 approx.).
