Honda Cliq Launched In India — Priced At Rs 42,499
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched yet another scooter, the Cliq in the Indian market.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched yet another scooter, the Cliq in the Indian market. The Honda Cliq is priced at Rs 42,499 ex-showroom (Delhi).
The Honda Cliq is a uniquely designed utility scooter, the overall design is based on the Navi, but it has chunky bodywork. The utility scooter is aimed at the rural market.
The Cliq features large front apron, large seat and good storage underneath the seat. The rear of the scooter gets tubular grab rails which add to the utility appeal of the Cliq. The scooter is shorter and narrower compared to the Activa and is lighter by 6kg.
The newly launched Cliq has a low seat height of 743mm. Honda states that the Cliq is a unisex scooter and female riders will find it easy to ride with low height and kerb weight of the scooter.
The Cliq is equipped with a fuel tank which can hold 3.5-litre fuel, which is lower than the Activa and Navi. The Cliq is shod with block pattern tyres. The footboard is wide, and an optional carrier can be installed.
Apart from that, the Cliq features Combi-Braking System, mobile charging point, tubeless tyres and a maintenance-free battery. The Cliq draws power from a 109.19cc engine producing 8.04bhp and 8.94Nm of torque. Honda claims a top speed of 83km/h.
