Honda CBR 150R And 250R Removed From Website — Discontinued Or BS4 Induced Delay?
The Honda CBR 150R and CBR 250R have been removed from the company's website, which could mean the end of life for the bikes in India.
Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Honda has removed the CBR 150R and 250R bikes from its website and the bikes are no longer available at the showrooms either.
Honda had been offering big discounts on both bikes on 31st of March, the last date on which BS-III compliant vehicles could be sold in India. In fact, some Honda dealerships even offered a free Navi with the purchase of the 250cc motorcycle.
Honda has still not released any official statement regarding the current status of the two motorcycles, but the removal of the bikes from the website does not bode well for the duo.
However, when DriveSpark got in touch with a few dealerships across the country, we were informed that they are awaiting 'new stock' of the bikes which could 'take a few months to arrive' at the dealerships. This does suggest that Honda is looking to upgrade the bikes with BS-IV compatible engines.
The BS-III compliant Honda CBR 150R produced 18.3bhp while the larger 250R kicked out 26.15bhp of power. If and when the new bikes get upgraded, we do not expect any significant upgrades in terms of power output from either bike.
