At the Italian Motodays show, Honda has officially unveiled a rally-ready version of the CRF1000L. The model was first showcased as a concept at the EICMA in November 2016. Back then it was called an Enduro Sports model.
Now, the Japanese manufacturer has released the production version for Italy. The motorcycle is named as the Africa Twin Rally. The off-road focused motorcycle won't be hitting other markets anytime soon.
The Honda Africa Twin Rally is 7kg lighter than its OEM predecessor, thanks to carbon fiber parts and a minimalist LED headlight assembly. It is said that the motorcycle also has five extra horsepower than its larger cousin.
Other bits include billet aluminum triple clamps, crash guards, and skid plate. Add to that; there are stainless steel brake lines and a more robust radiator and fan guards. The motorcycle remains homologated for Euro4. The exhaust is from Termignoni, and it has dB killer inserted into it.
When it comes to prices, the Honda Africa Twin Rally will cost you €21,490 (Rs 15.25 lakh) for the base model and €22,640 (Rs 16.06 lakh) for the dual-clutch transmission version.
