World's largest two-wheeler manufacturing company Hero MotoCorp will soon be launching the Hero Xtreme 200S in India. The model was showcased at the Auto Expo 2016.
The Xtreme 200S will be a premium offering from the Indian manufacturer and is expected to come with a price tag of Rs 90,000. The motorcycle will be powered by a 200cc, air-cooled engine that can produce 18.5bhp of power and 17.2Nm of peak torque. The powerplant will be mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle also features ABS, disc brakes at both ends, digital instrument cluster, LED headlamp, etc. The fuel economy will be around 45kmpl.
In the Indian market, the Xtreme 200S will compete with Pulsar 200NS, TVS Apache RTR 200 and KTM 200 Duke. The motorcycle shares the styling cues with its younger sibling, the Xtreme 150.
Hero MotoCorp is also planning to launch several higher displacement engines in the country. The models like HX250R, XF250R, XF3R and the Hero Hastur, which will feature engines that displace from 250cc to 600cc.
