Hero Working On Navigation System For Two-Wheelers
Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has developed a navigation system for two-wheelers. Read to know all the details about this new technological advancement.
India's leading two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp is working on a new range of two-wheelers. The company is developing futuristic products such as the iOn. But the company has not revealed any information on the technological advancement.
But now, BikeWale has reported that Hero MotoCorp has developed a new navigation system for two-wheelers. The navigation system will be integrated into the two-wheeler's instrument cluster.
The new navigation system from Hero MotoCorp is limited to basic information. The system will provide necessary information such as right, left and straight direction changes. The system will also calculate the approximate time and distance for the next turn.
The navigation system for motorcycles and scooters is a cool feature. But it is not a sophisticated system as found on the cars. The rider should connect his/her smartphone to the navigation system through Bluetooth.
After pairing the device with the navigation system, the rider should enter the destination on his/her smartphone. The system also changes the size and colour of the turn indicators depending upon how close the rider is to the next turn.
The navigation system also supports voice commands for input with a speaker on the cluster. The navigation system has been developed to run on any smartphone.
Hero MotoCorp will introduce the navigation system on its upcoming adventure motorcycle. The adventure motorcycle will hit the Indian market in next two years.
