Hero MotoCorp Discontinues The Maestro From Its Product Portfolio
Hero MotoCorp has discontinued the old Maestro scooter from its product portfolio to focus on more advanced models.
Hero Maestro was one of the popular scooter in the country, about a year ago the company launched the updated version of the scooter, the Maestro Edge but continued to offer the old Maestro as well.
After a lot of speculations about the discontinuation of the old Maestro, Hero MotoCorp has finally removed the scooter from its product portfolio. Although the dealers with stocks will continue to sell the scooter.
It is believed that to focus on more advanced models Hero MotoCorp will also remove some more products in the future. The Maestro Edge is a completely new product based on the new platform which is superior to its predecessor.
The Maestro Edge costs only Rs 1,000 more than the old scooter which makes it a sensible decision from the manufacturer. Hero MotoCorp aims to launch more advanced products in the country and the old models will be axed for this reason.
The Maestro Edge is powered by a newly developed 110cc engine which offers peppier performance and comfortable ride. The engine produces 8.2bhp and 8.3Nm of torque.
The Maestro Edge also comes with the host of features such as external fuel filling, 12-inch front wheel, digital-analogue instrument cluster, Integrated Braking System (IBS) and engine immobiliser (anti-theft system).
The Maestro Edge is offered in two trim levels - LX and VX with a price tag of Rs 49,930 and Rs 51,380 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. The old Maestro was missing out on few of the above-mentioned features.
