Hero Electric Launches ‘Flash’ In India; Priced At Rs 19,990
Hero claims that the Flash will offer a riding range of 65kms on a single charge which takes about 6-8 hours.
India's indigenous electric two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Electric has launched a new scooter named 'Flash' in a press conference at New Delhi. The scooter comes with an introductory price tag of Rs 19,990 ex-showroom (Delhi).
The manufacturer claims that the Flash will offer a riding range of 65kms on a single charge which takes about 6-8 hours. Powering the scooter is a 250W motor which uses juice from a 48V/20AH VRLA battery. The Flash can attain a top speed of 25km/h.
Up front, the model features telescopic forks with 16-inch alloy wheels and the whole scooter weighs only 87kg. The braking duties are carried out by drum brakes at both ends. The new electric model is also offered with a under-seat storage compartment.
The manufacturer also offers a warranty of two year for the Flash. On the safety side, the model comes with short circuit protection to protect the rider in the event of an accident. The Hero Flash is offered in two colour; Burgundy and Silver.
Sohinder Gill, CEO, Global Hero Eco said at the event, "With Flash, we are moving further ahead with our vision of making India an electrically mobile nation. Flash is the epitome of the latest and best of technology available in the e-automobiles sphere."
