Ducati Multistrada 950 launched in India. The Ducati Multistrada 950 is priced at Rs 12.60 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The Multistrada 950 is the entry level motorcycle in Ducati's Multistrada range of adventure tourer motorcycles and was unveiled at the 2016 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy.
Powering the Multistrada 950 is a fuel-injected 937cc L-twin engine that produces 111.4bhp @ 9,000 rpm and 96.2Nm of torque @ 7,750 rpm which is sent to the rear wheel through a 6-speed gearbox. The Multistrada gets four riding modes: Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro.
The Ducati Multistrada 950 features a tubular steel trellis frame chassis and features a KYB 48 mm fully adjustable USD fork up front and a fully adjustable Sachs mono shock unit at the rear with remote spring preload adjustment along with a double-sided aluminium swingarm.
Braking duties are handled by twin 320mm Brembo brakes with radially mounted 4-piston Monobloc callipers up front and a single 265mm Brembo disc at the rear with 2-piston floating callipers. ABS comes as standard on the Multistrada 950.
Up front, there is a 19-inch cast alloy wheel shod with a Pirelli Scorpion Trail II 120/70 R19 tyre. The 17-inch rear alloy is shod with a Pirelli Scorpion Trail II 170/60 R17.
Regarding design, the Ducati Multistrada 950 borrows from its 1200 siblings featuring numerous design cues from the larger motorcycle including the upswept exhaust design and swingarm.
