Ducati Monster 797 launched In India. The all-new Ducati Monster 797 is priced at Rs 7.77 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The Ducati Monster 797 is the smallest member of Ducati's Monster range of naked motorcycles and was first revealed to the world at the 2016 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy.
Powering the Ducati Monster 797 a fuel injected, air-cooled 803cc L-twin engine that produces 74bhp @ 8,250rpm and 68.6Nm of torque @ 5,750rpm. The power and torque are sent to the rear wheel through a 6-speed gearbox.
The Monster 797 features a one-piece tubular steel trellis frame along with a twin-spar swing arm. Up front, suspension duties are handled by a 43 mm Kayaba USD fork while at the rear there is a preload/rebound adjustable Sachs mono shock.
Braking duties are handled by twin 320mm Brembo brakes with radially mounted 4-piston Monobloc callipers up front and a single 245mm Brembo disc at the rear with a single piston floating calliper. ABS comes as standard on the Monster 797.
The Ducati Monster 797 sits on 17-inch alloy wheels which are shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres: 20/70 ZR17 (front) and (rear).
Regarding design, the Monster 797 looks like a smaller version of its larger siblings and borrows the LCD instrument panel from the 821. The 797 also features LED DRLs, LED tail lamps and is available in three colours: Red, Star White Silk, and Stealth Black.
The Monster 797 from Ducati will compete with the likes of Triumph Street Triple and the Aprilia Shiver 900.
