Dani Pedrosa Wins Spanish GP — Valentino Rossi Struggles With Vibration Issue
Honda rider Dani Pedrosa took his first victory of the 2017 MotoGP season at the Spanish GP in Jerez. Valentino Rossi struggled with vibration issues.
Honda rider Dani Pedrosa has emerged victorious in the fourth round of the 2017 MotoGP season. Pedrosa won the race by leading from start to finish at the Jerez race track.
The Spanish rider outpaced his teammate Marc Marquez to take his first victory of 2017. Ducati rider Jorge Lorenzo finished the race in the final podium place, his best result with Ducati.
Tech 3 Yamaha rider Johann Zarco was the leading Yamaha at Jerez. He passed several riders including Rossi and Maverick Vinales and also briefly challenged Marquez. But he could not keep up with the Honda and finished in fourth.
Yamaha factory rider Vinales could only manage the sixth position. But Rossi suffered the worst with vibration issues at the end of the race. He dropped pace dramatically and finally managed to finish in the tenth position.
Ducati finally managed to get back to the pace and both the riders finished in the top five. Andrea Dovizioso kept Vinales at bay to clinch the fifth position. In the first half of the race, both the Honda riders were in a battle for victory. But Pedrosa stretched his lead in the second half of the race.
