That Moment When A Wasp Got Into Cal Crutchlow's Riding Leathers
The wasp stung Cal Crutchlow about 5 times from his chest to arm during the qualifying for Spanish GP on Saturday.
Wasps are way different from honey bees. They do not pollinate, make wax or honey. They just exist in this world to mess up your day.
A wasp sting can be excruciatingly painful, but they are even dangerous if they sting you while you're riding a high performance MotoGP motorcycle.
This is exactly what happened to MotoGP rider, Cal Crutchlow, who got stung about five times when a wasp accidentally got trapped inside his leathers during qualifying on Saturday.
|
Crutchlow's rear-cam footage shows the ride throwing punches at the air for no obvious reasonand pulls off of the circuit to frantically frisk himselves to get the wasp out of there.
|
The rider informed everyone at the press conference after qualifying that all those air punches were due to an angry wasp stinging him. He said the wasp stung about 5 times from his chest to arm, before he could get it outside his leathers.
Even though the rider had to tackle an unlikely obstacle, Crutchlow made it to the 3rd position during qualifying, making a clean sweep podium for Honda. During the race, Crutchlow crashed out and did not finish the race while Honda's Dani Pedrosa took the victory.
