BMW Motorrad Builds A Brilliant LEGO-Inspired Hover Bike
BMW Motorrad has built a full sized version of BMW R 1200GS hoverbike concept inspired from a Lego set.
BMW Motorrad has created a brilliant concept hoverbike based on the R 1200 GS Adventure bike. The 'flying bike' evolved from a 603-part LEGO kit of the BMW R 1200 GS Adventure bike.
LEGO makes a scale replica of the BMW R 1200 GS as the main version, using it as an inspiration a secondary model comes in the form of a futuristic hoverbike on a full scale. The LEGO set has been specially made for BMW Motorrad and priced at $59.99 (Rs 4,026).
The BMW R 1200 GS concept hoverbike incorporates BMW Motorrad's design DNA with signature elements such as boxer engine and GS profile along with LEGO Technic's design language.
The concept bike christened 'Hover Ride Design Concept' is a project of BMW Junior Company Munich where trainees worked together from different departments.
The BMW R 1200 GS hoverbike concept's front wheel became the bike's propeller while BMW elements like the boxer two-cylinder engine can be noted in its design.
Details such as moving handlebars and the adjustable windshield are incorporated into the LEGO concept. The adventure bike's design elements like the black spoke wheels, studded tyres and many such details are seen on the model.
