Benelli Tornado 302R Official Bookings Begin In India
DSK Benelli has announced that it has commenced accepting bookings for the Benelli Tornado 302R.
DSK Motowheels has stated that they have commenced accepting booking for its fully faired motorcycle, the Benelli Tornado 302R in India. We have previously reported that the bookings have already begun with a token amount of Rs 30,000.
The Benelli Tornado 302R can be booked through company’s 25 dealerships spear across the country. But the pricing and the launch date has not been revealed for now.
Chairman of DSK Motowheels, Shirish Kulkarni said, “It is quite overwhelming to see that DSK Benelli 302R is receiving such a positive customer response even before it has entered the market.”
The Benelli Tornado 302R draws power from a 300cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine producing 38bhp and 27.4Nm of peak torque. The same engine is deployed on its naked sibling, the TNT300.
The motorcycle gets new trestle frame, upside down forks and mono shock suspension at the rear. The dry weight of the Benelli 302R stands at 190kg, which is on the heavier side. But the motorcycle is designed for sport-touring.
When launched in India, the Benelli Tornado 302R is likely to carry a price tag of around Rs 3.2 lakh to Rs 3.50 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The fully faired motorcycle will lock horns with the likes of KTM RC390, Yamaha YZF-R3, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and yet to be launched TVS Apache RR 310S.
