Benelli is expected to launch its naked minibike TNT 135 in India in coming weeks.
Italian two-wheeler brand Benelli is all geared up for the launch of its naked minibike TNT 135 (aka Benelli Tornado) in the Indian subcontinent around March this year. The motorcycle made its world premiere at the EICMA 2015 and was also showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 in India.
The development phase of the naked TNT 135 is believed to be in its final stage as it was spotted yet again during an official photo shoot in the wild. The latest image was posted by a Team-BHP forum member.
Powering the Italian minibike is a 135cc engine, which produces 12.6bhp at 9,000 rpm and 10.8Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. The power mill will be mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The bike is equipped with USD (Upside Down) front forks, mono-shock at the rear and 12-inch alloy wheels shod with 120/70 front and 130/70 rear tyre. The braking duties are carried out by the disc brakes.
Benelli sells its models in India through DSK Motowheels. The current product lineup of Benelli in India includes TNT 25, TNT 300, TNT 600i, TNT 600GT, TNT 899 and TNT R 1130. This year, the manufacturer will also launch its 300cc Tornado 302.
