Benelli TNT 135 India Launch Delayed — Reasons Revealed
The India launch of the Benelli's smallest motorcycle, the TNT 135 has been delayed for various reasons. Read more to get all the details about the mini motorcycle from Benelli.
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Benelli sells its range of inline four cylinder motorcycles in the Indian market. Under its global product portfolio, the company has its smallest offering, the TNT 135.
The Benelli TNT 135 was first showcased at the 2015 EICMA Show. But the mini motorcycle is yet to hit the Indian market. Benelli's parent firm, Group Qianjiang is interested in introducing the motorcycle in India.
But BikeWale reports that the Indian unit of the company, DSK Benelli is sceptical about the success of the TNT 135 in the Indian market. The company believes that the Indian consumers will fail to accept the motorcycle due to its size and price.
The Benelli TNT 135 is a mini motorcycle similar to the Honda's Navi regarding looks and size. The TNT 135 draws power from a 134.7cc engine producing 13bhp and 10.8Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission.
The TNT 135 features few premium components such as upside-down forks up front and twin-pipe exhaust. The mini motorcycle also gets exposed trellis frame, chunky tyres and TNT 25 inspired design.
Considering the size of the TNT 135, the motorcycle will not come at an affordable price. If at all the TNT 135 is launched in India, it will carry a price tag of around Rs 1.35 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh. And this is the primary concern for DSK-Benelli.
Currently, DSK-Benelli is in the process of extensive market research in the country. And the launch of the TNT 135 is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
