Benelli TNT 135 Will Not Come To India — Reasons Revealed
The Benelli TNT 135 will not make it to India. The company has confirmed that it will not launch the mini motorcycle in the country.
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Benelli has dropped its plans to launch the TNT 135 mini motorcycle in the Indian market. The main reason behind this decision is the pricing of the motorcycle.
BikeWale reports that the company has officially confirmed that the Benelli TNT 135 will not be launched in India. The price expectations from the Indian customers is unrealistic compared to the actual cost of the motorcycle.
The Benelli TNT 135 is a performance oriented motorcycle although it is a mini motorcycle. The company will not be able to sell the motorcycle at the expected price point with all the premium components.
Benelli conducted a market research in the country, and the response was positive from the people. Customers liked the overall design of the motorcycle but started comparing it with the Honda Navi.
The Honda Navi retails for Rs 41,500 Ex-showroom (Delhi) and no way Benelli can price the TNT 135 in that range. The mini-motorcycle was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, and it attracted quite a few visitors.
The Benelli TNT 135 features premium components such as trellis frame, fuel injection system, superior brakes and suspension unit. The TNT 135 draws power from a 135cc single cylinder air cooled engine churning out 12.6bhp and 10.8Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox.
