Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto is well known for weeding out the models from it product line-up faster than anyone else. Recently, the manufacturer discontinued the Pulsar AS200 from the Indian market.
According to a report by BikeAdvice, the manufacturer is planning to discontinue the Pulsar AS150. The ‘AS' stands for Adventure Sport and the series was launched in 2015.
Recently, Bajaj relaunched the Pulsar 200NS model, which was discontinued in 2015 to boost the sales of Pulsar RS200 and AS200. But, both the models failed to provide the sales that Bajaj expected, resulting in the re-introduction of 200NS.
In the report, it is also stated that Bajaj might bring back the AS sub-brand to the Indian market once the KTM 390 Adventure is launched. Rajiv Bajaj has officially confirmed that the brand will introduce the KTM adventure motorcycle in the country.
The soon-to-be-discontinued Pulsar AS150 has a 149.5cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 16.8bhp of power and 13Nm of torque. It also features a disc brake up front and a drum in the rear.
The Bajaj AS150 was launched with a price tag of Rs 81,230 ex-showroom (Delhi). Bajaj has also updated his entire product lineup to meet BSIV emission norms.
